Power back in winner's circle

Peter Francis from the Gippsland Power was delighted with the teams performance over the weekend after a disappointing performance against Sandringham.

"The boys bounced back really well. They were very determined after last week to make sure that they put up a really good show and they did. They controlled the game virtually from the start and they could have been a long, long way in front even at half time if they'd kicked straight."

Peter says that the coaching staff expected a stiff test against Bendigo who themselves have been competitive so far this year without being able to score a win.

"The Calder Cannons are highly rated this year and they only beat Bendigo by five goals so we thought 'gee wizz' this will be a really tough game and one that could be a little bit of a danger for us."

The win leaves the Power seventh in the ladder with two wins and one defeat.

The Power's next game is after the Easter break at home to the Western Jets on Sunday may 1st at 12 noon.
