Feature Interview: Andy Otten

Andy Otten exploded onto the AFL scene in 2009, playing 24 games for the Adelaide Crows and finishing runner-up in the Rising Star Award for the 09 season.

However a severe knee injury in the lead up to the 2010 season ruled him out for the year, and it has been atough road back for the defender.

This season it has been a roller coaster ride, playing the first 5 games of the year before injury concerns and poor form ruled him out for the next 6 weeks.

He made his return in Round 12 and has started to show the form that made him one of the most valuable youngsters at the club.

Feature Interview: Richard Douglas

The Crows have had a week under the microscope after their dismal effort against the Lions, and now need to answer their critics when the play the Kangaroos at Docklands on Sunday.

Crows midfielder Richard Douglas says the players were given a few home truths earlier in the week, and they are desperate to find some consistant form.

He says the group has been able to stay upbeat and positive, and they are confident of recording a win this weekend.

Feature Interview: Kurt Tippett

The Crows have one of the toughest tasks ahead of them this weekend when they travel to Melbourne to take on Collingwood.

Despite the huge gap in their recent form and ladder position, the Crows have a good recent record against the Pies and the Adelaide players are going in confident of putting on a good show.

For Kurt Tippett a match up with the defending premiers in front of a big crowd at Docklands is an exciting prospect.

Feature Interview: Nathan Bassett

The Redlegs are three wins and three losses and the Magpies are coming off a rousing 92 point victory over the East Coast Eagles at the SCG in the State Leagues Cup.

Norwood Coach Nathan Bassett told ABC Grandstand that he's looking for improvement in his younger players after the loss of experienced Nick Duigan, Paul Puopolo, Ed Lower and David Trotter.

He was happy with Taylor Walkers seven goals against North Adelaide and knows he'll work on his defensive skills, but he also stressed that Walker is only twenty one years of age and has plenty of learning to do.

Bassett also talks about the juggling of AFL Players coming back into the SANFL and the allowance that has to be made for the different levels of fitness.

He knows that the Magpies will be fired up and tonight at the Norwood Oval there will be a superb atmosphere

Feature Interview: Danyle Pearce

Peter Walsh and Roger Wills catch up with Power midfielder Danyle Pearce

Danyle Pearce has taken centre stage this week as the AFL celebrates Indigenous Round in Round 9.

Proud to represent the Indigenous community, Pearce this week highlighted the fact the racism in footy in not dead, revealing he was abused by a spectator while playing in the SANFL earlier this season.

However he has dealt with that issue through the SANFL and now is looking forward to helping his team get just their second win of the season when the host Fremantle on Saturday.

Feature Interview: Alipate Carlile

The Power have just one win to date for 2011 and with a trip to the SCG on the agenda in Round 8, the chances of getting back on the winners list looks slim.

Port haven't beaten Sydney since 2006, and with the team struggling to put 4 quarters together not many pundits give them a chance on Saturday night.

But the Power defender Alipate Carlile told Peter Walsh and Roger Wills the team is on the up and they could steal a very important victory this weekend.

Feature Interview: Jacob Surjan

The Power are on the winners board after an impressive win in the Showdown last weekend, and they will be desperate to continue that form when they take on the Suns at Footy Park on Saturday.

Gold Coast are making their first trip to Adelaide and it is almost certain they will head home with a loss following efforts in their first 3 matches in the AFL.

Feature Interview: Brad Symes

Brad Symes began his career in the colours of Port Adelaide, before making the switch to the Crows in 2008 after 20 games with the Power.

Since then he has become a regular in the Crows line up, and will play his 50th AFL game this weekend against Carlton.

But for Symes a win for the team is the most important thing, with the Crows floundering with just win to their name heading into Round 5.

In the build up to the Saturday night match at Docklands, Symes joined Roger Wills to discuss the match.
