Ottens to miss Lions clash

Geelong ruckman Brad Ottens has accepted a one-match ban for striking West Coast's Mark Nicoski in last weekend's round of matches.

Ottens pleaded guilty to the level-four striking offence but due to the two-time premiership player's clean record he will only miss this weekend's trip to the Gabba to play the Lions.

Eagles ruckman Nic Naitanui accepted a reprimand and points towards future charges following his level-one charge of making forceful contact from front-on against Geelong's Taylor Hunt and is free to play.

The 20 players charged for their involvement in melees from the Essendon-Richmond and St Kilda-Port Adelaide clashes have all accepted their sanctions.

Geelong ruckman Brad Ottens told Kelli Underwood and the Grandstand team that the Cats' defeat of league leader and defending premier Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night came from playing the way they wanted to play and sticking at it.
