ABC Footballer of the Year: Round 16

Hawthorn's Sam Mitchell has moved into the lead on the ABC Footballer of the Year standings following round 16 of the AFL.

Mitchell topped the 3-2-1s in the Hawks' seven-goal victory over Brisbane at York Park to set up a one-vote lead over Carlton's Marc Murphy and Collingwood's Dane Swan.

Swan gained the maximum three votes in the Magpies' 117-point demolition of North Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.
