Mitta played Chiltern on their home ground on Saturday.
15-year-old Coby is able to play in the age category till the end of the season after the Tallangatta and District Football League adopted a by-law during the week.
Rules say players must go up an age division after turning 15.
Mitta United applied for special consideration for Coby who has a disability known as DAMP, deficits in attention, motor control and perceptual abilities.
The Graeber's say they have been overwhelmed by support for Coby and hope the ruling will help other young people in similar situations.
The final score was Chiltern 5 6 36 to Mitta United 4 9 33.
