The score in the final game saw Port Lincoln 15.11 101 defeating Great Flinders 7.6 48.
Co-Captain Andrew Jericho says his team was very happy with the win.
"It's fantastic, it's ecstatic just to I don't know, just to have won the three, to have equalled Great Flinders, and I guess to top it off with the change that's happening next year - you know it's a great way to finish the season as Port Lincoln I suppose," he says.
Jericho is speaking about a decision made on Sunday at a Mortlock Shield meeting with representatives from all participating leagues.
The main decision see's Port Lincoln splitting back into two sides - Lincoln Districts and Lincoln City - from 2012.
The other commitment was made by Kangaroo Island, who have signed on to play the Eyre Peninsula carnival for the next three to four years.
Port Lincoln Football League chairman Peter Tokarski says that the league delegates decided that the split was best for the future of the competition.
"The League's can see there's a need to move on. Kangaroo Island coming in so enthusiastic is a bonus, and we're looking to maybe Whyalla or maybe Roxby Downs to come in as an eighth team and if they don't we'll have to have a seven team comp and if they don't it's going to be a good competition anyway," he explains.
At the conclusion of the final game the medallions were handed out and trophy's were awarded.
Bamford Medal winner for Best and Fairest was Waylon Johncock of Far West (on 11 votes).
Crosby Medal winner Runner-up Best and Fairest was a draw between Scott Blacker of Great Flinders and Brad Wake of Eastern Eyre (on 10 votes each).
The Laurie Martin Trophy for most goals kicked went to Port Lincoln's Matt Parker (14 goals).
Mid West's Jake Bruce won the Don McSweeney trophy for best Under 21 (on 7 votes).
The final ladder stands as follows (team, points, percentage):
Port Lincoln, 6, 244.43
Eastern Eyre, 4, 191.25
Great Flinders, 4, 84.67
Kangaroo Island, 2, 77.37
Mid West, 2, 55.25
Far West, 0, 65.34
